Description
Abhyudaya Global Village School (AGVS) is a rural non-profit school in Maharashtra working with 23 villages to provide holistic, interest-based education rooted in Indian values and local context. We integrate academics with real-life learning—through modules in agriculture, food & nutrition, arts, entrepreneurship, and yoga.
We focus on curriculum design, teacher training, and sustainability practices to empower rural students with skills, values, and confidence.
We are committed to empowering students through:
1) Personalized and contextual learning
2) Curriculum innovation rooted in Indian knowledge systems
3) Teacher training (Aacharya Development)
4) Community integration
5) Sustainable farming and energy use (e.g., biomass cooking, solar cooker)
6) Values-based education
CSR support will help strengthen curriculum development, teacher capacity, and learning environment to improve educational and life outcomes.
Expected Outcomes
1) Improvement in foundational learning outcomes
2) 5+ new contextual learning modules developed
3) 50+ teachers trained in curriculum delivery and pedagogy
4) 100+ students engaged in livelihood-based modules
5) Biomass and solar energy used for 75% of school cooking
6) 10+ community events to foster local engagement
